What is the trade in process?

Let us know what you have, you'll get an estimate value before sending it in.  You can start with this quick form.   After we receive your request, we will give you an estimated trade in value based on the serial number and accessories.

If you agree to the initial trade-in value, we will then proceed to inspect and evaluate the products you have sent us. This inspection process is crucial as it allows us to assess the condition, functionality, and completeness of your equipment. Our trained technicians will carefully examine each item, checking for any signs of wear, damage, or missing accessories that may affect its value. Once the inspection is complete, we will provide you with a final quote reflecting the trade-in value, which could be higher or lower than the initial estimate based on our findings. This final quote will be communicated to you promptly, ensuring transparency throughout the process. If you accept the final trade-in value, we will apply it towards your new purchase or your chosen compensation method.

What is my item worth?

We always tell customers their best bet financially is always selling it privately.   As the dealer we need to evaluate it, list it, support it and in some cases warranty it.   Also, our cost and demand on that item plays a part in what we offer.  Nothing is final until the unit is inspected, and test flown if applicable.

How do I get credit for my trade in?

Your qualifying equipment can be applied towards a new purchase. Additionally, we can accept your trades in exchange for Cloud City Gift Cards, or if preferred, we can send you a check by mail.

 

Additional Questions and Answers

Am I responsible for shipping everything to Cloud City?

Typically, customers are responsible for shipping items to us at Cloud City Drones. It is advisable for customers to consider shipping insurance and select a shipping method that ensures quicker delivery.

Customers may also opt for Cloud City to handle shipping arrangements; if this is more convenient, we can supply shipping labels, and the final shipping costs will be deducted from the trade-in value.

What if I change my mind and don't want to trade anything in?

If you decide that you no longer wish to proceed with the trade-in process, that's perfectly fine! You have the option to withdraw your trade-in request at any point before shipping your items to us. Simply contact our customer service team, and they will assist you in canceling your trade-in request. If you have already sent your items to Cloud City Drones but have changed your mind, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We may be able to return your items to you, provided they haven't yet entered our inspection process. Please keep in mind that any shipping costs incurred for the return of your items will be your responsibility. We value your decision and want to ensure that you feel comfortable and confident in your choices regarding your equipment.
